When I used to discuss literature with my university classmates, the name Chetan Bhagat and his novel 2 States always seemed to pop up during our frequent conversations. ![]() ![]() His eleven best-selling murder mysteries starring Rabbi David Small began in 1964 and ended in 1996. He was still writing a full generation after the others had stopped. But Kemelman was a late bloomer, his first book appearing when he was middle-aged.
